Karazin University Supervisory Board Member Yuriy Sapronov Receives Honorary Citizen Titles of Kharkiv and Kharkiv Region

By the decision of the Extraordinary XXXIV Session of the Regional Council of the 8th convocation on August 21, 2025, Yuriy Sapronov — member of the Supervisory Board of Karazin University, well-known entrepreneur, philanthropist, and volunteer — was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of Kharkiv Region.”

By the decision of the Extraordinary Session of the Kharkiv City Council on August 22, 2025, Yuriy Sapronov was also awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the City of Kharkiv.”

These high distinctions recognize Yuriy Sapronov’s many years of service for the benefit of Kharkiv region, his native city, and the community. He is well known for his active involvement in social, cultural, and sports projects, his support of educational and scientific initiatives, and his significant contribution to the development of the volunteer movement in Kharkiv and across Ukraine.

Karazin University is proud that its Supervisory Board includes individuals whose actions are changing the life of the city and the country for the better.
