20th Anniversary of the Revival of the School of Law at Karazin University
Two decades ago, the School of Law of Karazin University was revived, like a phoenix from the ashes. It began to write a new chapter in its illustrious history. Its roots date back to the distant year of 1804, when a Department of Moral and Political Sciences was created. Later it was transformed into a school and became an important center of legal science and education in Ukraine.
In 1920, the School of Law was liquidated, and on its basis, the School of Law of the School of the Kharkiv Institute of National Economy was established, which later became the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
The revival of the faculty within the walls of one of the oldest universities in Eastern Europe was driven by the need to rebuild the structure of a classical university and to replenish state, public, law enforcement agencies, and institutions with qualified legal professionals. And so, in 2004, the School of Law of Karazin University once again opened its doors to students eager for knowledge and justice.
Today, we celebrate not just the revival of the faculty, but its triumphant return to the ranks of the country's leading law schools. Over these twenty years, it has become a center for numerous scientific research, notable conferences, and important legal initiatives.
Every graduate of the School of Law is not just a professional but a bearer of the heritage of Karazin University. Here, students are educated to become lawyers, judges, scholars, and reformers of Ukraine's legal system in the future.
We are confident that there are many more achievements ahead, and each subsequent year will be even brighter. The revived School of Law of Karazin University continues to evolve, spreading the light of knowledge and justice, preserving fidelity to traditions, and confidently striding into the future.
May these twenty years be just the beginning of a new history, filled with great achievements and victories. Congratulations to the representatives of the School of Law of Karazin University on this anniversary!
