154th Anniversary of Lesya Ukrainka’s Birth: The University Pays Tribute

On February 25, in the family of philanthropist and member of the “Old Community” Petro Kosach and writer Olha Drahomanova-Kosach, a renowned poet, playwright, translator, and public figure Larysa Kosach was born — better known in history as Lesya Ukrainka.
Today, we honor her memory. Lesya Ukrainka’s works are an inexhaustible source of wisdom, resilience, and love for Ukraine.
Her life was a struggle. She fought against illness and societal stigmas. She defended her right to be Ukrainian, to have her own opinion, and to remain independent.
As a center of science and culture, Karazin University has always respected and promoted Lesya Ukrainka’s literary legacy.
