Open Biodiversity Data - Ukraine

Together with GBIF: Global Biodiversity Information Facility, University of Oslo, NetherlandsBIF, Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group, we are building Ukrainian community of Open Biodiversity Data. We support data publication infrastructure, promote open biodata nationwide, provide trainings, and consult researchers from more than 30 institutions.

Oleh Prylutskyi, the project leader, administrate open biodiversity data publication server (Integrated Publishing Toolkit) where the most of GBIF data from Ukraine are hosted. He also coordinated training and outreach activities related to promotion of GBIF and open biodiversity data in Ukraine.

In 2023, Dr. Prylutskyi coordinated small grant program for data mobilization for Ukrainian students.

We encourage Ukrainian researchers apply modern, data-friendly publication formats called “datapapers”.
