Student Council of the Student Campus

The Student Campus Student Council is a body of student self-government that represents the interests of dormitory residents, contributes to improving living conditions, and coordinates the everyday, cultural, and social activities of higher education students.

Main objectives of the Council:

  • protecting the rights and interests of dormitory residents;

  • cooperation with the Student Campus Directorate, dormitory administrations, the trade union committee, and faculty (institute) student councils;

  • monitoring compliance with dormitory residence rules;

  • assisting in the resolution of everyday issues (improving living conditions, repairs, landscaping, etc.);

  • organizing cultural, educational, and sports events;

  • informing students about current updates related to accommodation, payments, and residence rules;

  • assistance with accommodation, eviction, and relocation — acting as a communication link between students and the administration.

Areas of activity:

  • Housing and Living Sector — monitoring living conditions, issues related to plumbing, electricity, and utilities;

  • Information Sector — managing social media and creating informational materials;

  • Cultural and Social Sector — organizing celebrations, competitions, and events to support first-year student adaptation;

  • Sports Sector — organizing tournaments, outdoor activities, and promoting a healthy lifestyle;

  • Volunteer Sector — participation in charity initiatives and support for newly arrived students;

  • Legal Sector — explaining residents’ rights, participating in conflict resolution, and handling complaints.

Composition of the Student Council:

  • Chair of the Student Campus Student Council — Polina Zhmaillova (@PollinaZhmaillova): coordinates the Council’s work and represents it at official meetings;

  • Deputy Chair — Yaroslav Vovk (Underded29): responsible for specific areas such as culture, living conditions, and information;

  • Secretary — Oleksandra Parashchuk (@waato): maintains documentation and meeting minutes.

The composition of the Council is updated annually or as needed through open elections among dormitory residents.
