Professional Development of Academic and Teaching Staff, Researchers, and Potential Stakeholders, Including Individualized Programs (Internships), for Educational Institutions and Organizations

At the Institute, all necessary organizational and legal, scientific and methodological, didactic, content-related, human resource, and infrastructural conditions have been established to ensure the professional development and advanced training of academic and teaching staff, teaching staff, researchers, and potential stakeholders, including training under individual programs (internships), for institutions of professional pre-higher education, higher education institutions, institutions, and organizations.

Such activities are regulated by the current legislative and regulatory framework, namely:

the Law of Ukraine “On Education” dated September 5, 2017, No. 2145-VIII (Articles 1, 8, 10, 18, 42, 59), as amended;

the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” dated July 1, 2014, No. 1556-VII (as amended), including subparagraph 9 of paragraph 1 of Article 57, subparagraph 2 of paragraph 1 of Article 58, and Article 60;

the Law of Ukraine “On Professional Development of Employees” dated January 12, 2012, No. 4312-VI (as amended);

the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” dated June 1, 2010, No. 2297-VI (as amended);

the Procedure for Advanced Training of Teaching and Academic Teaching Staff, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated August 21, 2019, No. 800, as amended by Resolution No. 1133 dated December 27, 2019, and Resolution No. 1343 dated October 28, 2025;

Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated October 30, 2020, No. 1341 “On Approval of Methodological Recommendations for the Professional Development of Academic Teaching Staff”;

Letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated July 24, 2020, No. 1/9-696 “On Ensuring the Functioning of the System of Certification of Researchers and Academic Teaching Staff”;

the Strategic Goals and Intentions of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University until 2030.

Internship Registration

A registration link is available for internships for teaching and academic teaching staff of Karazin University, other institutions of professional pre-higher education, and higher education institutions.

Duration of Training

The duration of training ranges from 15 days to 6 weeks, depending on the content selected by the participant and the purpose of the professional development program.

Number of Hours and Credits

  • from 30 hours (1 ECTS credit)

  • to 180 hours (6 ECTS credits)

Internship Fees

  • 30 hours (1 credit) – from UAH 1,100.00 to UAH 2,200.00 (depending on the academic degree of the professional development supervisor);

  • 1 month under an intensified program – from UAH 2,700.00 to UAH 4,000.00 (depending on the academic degree of the professional development supervisor);

  • 6 weeks – from UAH 3,800.00 to UAH 5,800.00 (depending on the academic degree of the professional development supervisor).

At the Institute of Continuing Education of Karazin University, certificate-based professional development programs are also organized and delivered for academic and teaching staff of higher and professional pre-higher education institutions, as well as for other participants and stakeholders:

  • Certificate Program “Ukrainian Language as the State Language for Professional Purposes” – 180 hours, 6 ECTS credits.

  • Certificate Training Program on Knowledge of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language – 180 hours, 6 ECTS credits.

  • Certificate Program “Ukrainian Language: Proficient Use (C1, C2)” – 180 hours, 6 ECTS credits.

  • Certificate Program “Ukrainian Language: Fundamentals of Public Communication” – 180 hours, 6 ECTS credits.

  • “School of Pedagogical Innovation” – 180 hours, 6 ECTS credits.

  • Certificate Program “Supervision in Social Work” – 60 hours, 2 ECTS credits.

  • Certificate Program “Formation of Civic Competences of Higher Education Students” – 30 hours, 1 ECTS credit.
    Fee: UAH 800.00

Teaching Staff and Learning Format

The educational process is delivered by highly qualified instructors, authors of the respective programs from the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Psychology.

Classes are conducted according to the academic schedule after 3:30 PM, on designated days, once or twice a week.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants are awarded an official certificate of professional development, which does not require special recognition.
