School of Medicine II

The School of Medicine II provides education in the following specialties:
I1 – Dentistry,
I4 – Medical Psychology,
I6 – Medical Diagnostics and Treatment Technologies,
I7 – Therapy and Rehabilitation.

One of the key advantages of studying at a classical university is the interdisciplinary approach: teaching and training are conducted by professors and researchers from multiple schools, ensuring a broad and high-quality academic experience.

Education at the school is practice-oriented and student-centered. From the early years, students are engaged in hands-on activities related to their future profession: participating in master classes, seminars, training sessions, and conferences. Practical skills are acquired in the country’s top simulation centers and reinforced in real clinical environments.

The school makes extensive use of the Simulation Center, Dental Simulation Center, the Karazin Clinical-Simulation Dental Center (based at the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital), the Karazin Center for Physical Rehabilitation and Medical Psychology, and nearly 20 clinical bases at leading healthcare institutions in Kharkiv. Modern educational technologies are integrated into the curriculum, including online platforms, distance learning courses, simulators, virtual reality systems, multimedia programs, and 3D technologies.

Postgraduate Medical Education

A key focus of the School of Medicine II is its postgraduate medical education programs. The academic staff trains medical interns, provides continuing professional development and advanced training for medical doctors across all specialties: dentists, clinical and medical psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, laboratory diagnostics specialists, and other healthcare professionals.

Academic Staff

The school's academic staff includes leading professionals in Ukraine: practicing doctors, dentists, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and laboratory diagnostics specialists. From day one, students benefit from their theoretical knowledge and invaluable clinical experience, becoming true professionals of European standard.

The team includes approximately 20 professors and 50 associate professors, with over 20 years of experience in clinical and academic work. Their methodical and step-by-step guidance fosters clinical thinking and mastery of the art of treatment.

Most instructors have extensive experience working with students at all levels — from undergraduate students and medical interns to early-career and experienced physicians — supporting learners throughout their journey from school desk to professional excellence.
