University’s Stories Club Meeting "Women in Science: Experience of Karazin University Scientists"

On February 9, 2021, on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Karazin University is hosting an online meeting of the University’s Stories Club "Women in Science: Experience of Karazin University Scientists".

During the event, well-known scientists of Karazin University, including biophysicist, Professor Valeriia Trusova, astronomer, Professor Iryna Bielska, and historian, Associate Professor Oksana Ruchynska will share their stories about their choice of specialty and scientific path, ideas on how to combine professional activity and family. who are examples of successful women for them and what inspires them in life.

In particular, Oksana Ruchynska has been the curator of the Ad Fontes student scientific club for many years, she gives popular science lectures on ancient culture; Valeriia Trusova became one of the three winners of the Ukrainian award from L'Oréal-UNESCO "Women in Science 2019"; Iryna Belska became a participant in the mentoring program "#GirlsSTEM" 2019-2020, the purpose of which is to inspire women and girls to self-development and career planning in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
