Life is buzzing within the walls of Karazin University: the most active representatives of student self-government from educational institutions in Kharkiv gathered to discuss the specifics of developing student councils and youth organizations during wartime.

On May 3rd, at the initiative of the Kharkiv Regional Youth Center, a panel discussion titled "Development of Student Self-Government During Wartime" took place.

At the beginning of the event, a minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of the fallen defenders who gave their lives in the harsh war against the enemy.

Rector Tetyana Kaganovska addressed the attendees: "When students gather at the university, it truly becomes alive because the university cannot exist without its incredible students. Despite all the challenges, you continue to study and be true citizens of our country here in Kharkiv. The university always provides many opportunities for development, self-realization, and professional growth. And today, our main task is to unite our efforts to overcome, support each other, be useful, and help you realize yourselves and move confidently forward."

Georgiy Pazi, the Director of the Kharkiv Regional Youth Center, thanked those present for their participation and noted that the main goal of this discussion is the development of the student movement in Kharkiv.

Representatives of institutions signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to jointly create new opportunities for the development of Ukrainian youth.

Within the panel discussion, there were passionate discussions, exchange of ideas and thoughts, speeches, presentations, and interactive sessions. Students discussed student self-government, its functions, rights, and duties, implementation of student projects and events, challenges, and problems of student organizations during wartime.

They are confident that student youth leaders not only received tools to help implement events for students but also gained motivation to continue their work. Grateful for the opportunity to feel sincere emotions and joy from communication, to meet and talk live!
