On October 10, 2023, the regular meeting of the scientific expert group for the European Union's research project competition, EURIZON WP 9.1 "Remote Research Grants for Ukrainian researchers," took place.

Among the participants in the work of the scientific expert group were representatives from Karazin University, including a graduate of the School of Foreign Languages, Olga Polotska, who serves as the Executive Director of the National Research Fund of Ukraine, and Professor Igor Hirka from the Education and Research Institute "School of Physics and Technology."

The results of the competition will be announced on November 10, coinciding with the anniversary of the signing of the agreement on scientific and technical cooperation between Germany and Ukraine. By that time, at least twenty winners will have been determined.

Due to numerous requests and their high quality, the scientific expert group has already approached the European Commission with a request to increase the funding for the competition. They are expecting a positive response to this request in the coming days. If the European Commission responds positively, the number of funded projects will reach sixty, and this will be announced by November 30, 2023.
