Online Presentation of the Book "ЕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΗΡΙΟΝ. In memory of K. E. Hrynevych"

On April 15, 2021, Karazin University will host an online presentation of the book "ЕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΗΡΙΟΝ. In memory of K. E. Hrynevych" within the framework of the 10th anniversary festival of Greek culture in Kharkiv, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution.

The book was published by the NGO "Helios Kharkiv City Society of Greeks" together with V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The book is dedicated to the 130th birth anniversary of the outstanding historian and archaeologist, Kostiantyn Hrynevych. It consists of three parts.

The first part contains an article by Karazin University historians: associate professors of the Department of Ancient and Medieval History of the School of History Serhii Diachkov and Oksana Ruchynska — "Kostiantyn Eduardovych Hrynevych (1891-1970). Pages of Biography", which contains essays on less covered life circumstances and research activities of the scientist.

The second part of the collection contains reprints of Kostiantyn Hrynevych’s two works: "Around Hellas" and "One Hundred Years of Chersonese Excavations (1827-1927)".

In the third part of the collection, there is Kostiantyn Hrynevych's biobibliography with the chronology of the scientist’s life and work, a list of his works, literature about him, and a name index to the bibliography.

The book will be presented by the Dean of the School of History, Serhii Lytovchenko, associate professors of the Department of Ancient and Medieval History of the School of History Oksana Ruchynska and Serhii Diachkov, Director of the Central Scientific Library of Karazin University, Iryna Zhuravleva.
